That's certainly a nice car, but what a shame-so many wasted years and miles of enjoyment!

I agree, the owner must have an iron will to have only driven it 3000 miles.

I would have had trouble staying under 3000 miles a year.

The owner is Bob Ingram.

He also owns a red 959, one of the first Gmunds, Carrera GT, bunch of low mileage 356's, 924 Sebring edition, 944 Tubo S (both in new condition) and a few dozen other Porsche models.

He used to have a website but took it down after getting too many emails and calls from collectors.

His son Cam owns Road Scholars

He may own all those Porsches but I dare say that he probably has never amassed 100,000 miles in his Porsches over the years. It's sort of like having a hooker for a girlfriend--and simply looking at her...

What color is this? It's what my '73 faux RS was originally.

I daresay Bob has driven well over 100,000 miles in his cars over the years.

Bob Ingram was former CEO of GlaxoSmithKline, and has the Ingram Collection in Durham, that he will open to groups on special occasions.

I had a chance to have dinner with Mr Ingram in Panama, and he is true car enthusiast, he will also tell you that it was his son Cam who got him interested in Porsche.

I know that he has own a number of different Ferrari's, I don't know how many he may own now. I know for a personal car Ferrari had given him a Maserati Quattroporte to use at their expense, which was his daily driver.
