Default Your assignment for tomorrow:

Watch the ALMS race on Speed at 2pm eastern!

Pat Long put the #45 Flying Lizard Porsche on the pole, and Wolf Henzler put the Falken Tire Porsche right next to him, ahead of the Ferraris, Corvettes and BMW's. This promises to be an exciting race, even if you aren't a racing junky. Now's a good time to start being one.

Lime Rock, the "bull ring" is a short (1.51 mile) and narrow track, and it's always interesting to see 4 different classes of cars running this circuit. Thrills, spills and chills.

We need the Porsche Karma.

Thanks, Ed! I'll be sure to tune in. Even though Sean will be working in the heat, I will be trying to avoid it.

You may get the test pattern on Speed at 9am. The ALMS race is 11am our time. Unless you're headed to Hawaii?

Just in case I'm not back from my drive, I've got the DVR set for the ALMS Race on Saturday afternoon. It's supposed to be 101 degrees on Saturday - I wonder if my A/C will keep up?

It's a busy weekend for racing - hope I have enough room on the DVR: ALMS,
F1 in Germany, MotoGP at Laguna, and the WRC from Bulgaria (tape delayed a couple weeks.)

Sleep? Who needs sleep?

Dude, where have you been? I gots me some A/C in the garage. I don't work in the heat. Add in a TV, cable, and surround sound, I'm working in paradise. Oh, the beer fridge is full. I keep it that way from the days Ed used to live here and we had actual garage racing parties.

*****edit*****

There has not been one garage racing party since you left dude..........it's so wrong.

Keeping with tradition I'm always behind the curve..... If I lived closer, I'd be hanging out and bench racing all the time. My neighbors think I'm a freak when they hear the 60 gal. compressor kick on. None of them are car guys. More along the lines of "grill guys".

Sean does have a great setup. No worries about him suffering in the garage.

I loved throwing garage parties: Sebring 12 hour, Daytona 24, Aussie GP, we did a few. Kevin Hughes would bring his HD projector and screen over, I'd pull the Bbq out front, turn my lift into a buffet table and let the games begin!
