DUDE, that motor looks totally insane!

I love it!

Let us know when when it will be out in pubic for the masses to view. I'd love to see and hear this thing in person. (I'd like to drive it even more)

Thanks fellas! Looking to do a Bay Area drive sometime soon, followed by some track time. I'll update the original thread with impressions and pics.

Phil-
I'll shoot you a message when we organize a drive. Hope you can join us.

Great car. Would love to be in the p-seat or D-seat. Would like to see how it compares to my car. Weight to HP are about the same. I do have more torque/lb according to estimates. But, have not had mine on a dyno, but hope to soon. Nothing is as fun as the older 911's with lots of HP.

You know that thing just screams. I bet that thing will make your knees weak after a spirited run.

Yeah, that 911 would feel like a go-cart with a rocket motor. I used to get adrenaline amped in the 914-6 on the little switchback road (can't remember the name) between Atascadero and Paso Robles.

The thrust is a little scary. When the motor goes "on cam" at around 4000 rpms at full throttle it's hard to keep it pinned until redline because of the building speed. The power just keeps going. The rev limiter is set at 7400 rpms, but on the dyno the motor made power beyond that.

Sounds good. I'll be eagerly waiting to hear from you. I'm actually working in San Diego for the time being. Hopefully I'll be back in the Bay Area when you head up north.

That motor just looks incredible!

Someone smart who's looking a rulebook (Spec 911) that's there to exploit. Funny how this gap in the rulebook that you could drive a train through basically came from the guy who wrote the rules, and wanted to benefit one of his cost-no-object customers. Said customer was gone from the series before this interpretation showed up. But who'd have thought that a ~265HP "stock" 3.0 would be what it takes to run anyplace above mid-pack.

In any case, what a nice engine and project!
