Ed, you left off several key changes. Suspension and brakes are nowhere near stock.

Having seen you vanish into the distance I'm guessing there is a lot you aren't telling us.

Picture speek a 1000 words. I could spend hours trying to get my opinion in words, but pic #3 says it all for me. The carrera tail on a Targa (later car) is a must. That tail is so sinuous with the Targa shape - the lines of the car start at the headlights and flows off the spoiler lip. Without tail, the Targa seems abbreviated to me. Just not the same on a coupe. Consider this a post in the Icon's "tail" thread, and "Targa" thread. I could go on.
I have to agree Ed. This community is what it's all about. Thanks w00t.

The last "Kinesis"(track) pic, and the first "BBS" pic below it... wow, watch the suspension work.

There was always a photog at our races and even DEs. It was real important for us to get their pics(always in the midst of a critical curve). It could tell us a lot about our setup.

Great history Ed, we should all keep a photog of our pride and joy. in looking back it gives us a sense of pride, joy and accomplishment.

Sweet, and to think I've been able to see/watch/wrench some on that transition. That car has re-kindled my love of the early Targa's. I will have one.

Do you still have the whale tail sitting around?

Truthfully, I was focused on the cosmetics. There is no doubt she's got "some" modifications. I've got most of that in pics too. Maybe soon I'll Do a thread of what is behind the curtain....or under her skirt.

No, I sold that. But I still have the stock lid, which I had painted in '02 when I had the car shot.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Ruby is the best looking Targa I've seen. Color, stance, tail, wheels...it just "works".

Thanks guys.

The funny thing I notice is how bare my Texas garage looks to me now. It got more filled up before we left, but I'd built an airplane in there the year before-took up all three bays.
