I called this morning and left a message. No one in at the PCA meet last night was familiar with the car. The odometer is broken based on the photo of the tripometer showing 0.

There is currently a down payment on the car that is valid until tomorrow. The owner claims there are no major issues. He said one spot a quarter sized clear coat spot, a tear in the passenger seat, and said the odometer broke a short time ago. It has the turbo look. He said a shop checked it out and said he does not know anything about head studs. If the other guy does not pay for it tomorrow, I'll look at it tomorrow.

Probable GRAY MARKET car by the side marker on the front fender. Importation of Grays was VERY popular in that era due to the exchange rate with the DM.
