What coating is on your floor?
I was considering a nice coating like that for my garage floor, but was nervous about it chipping when using jack stands.
I see you have your stands in direct contact with your floor. No issues with that?

cheers
It's an epoxy with white, black, & gray paint chips mixed in.

I would RECOMMEND AGAINST the paint chips (at least the black ones). It makes it next to IMPOSSIBLE to find dropped screws, nuts, and other small parts.

The floor has held up perfectly to jack-stands etc...

My wife gave me the "garage remodel" for my 40th birthday. She rocks.

I got everything back together last night. I didn't have a SINGLE part left over either!

Then I went for a long drive and bought myself a nice dinner.

Here are some pics I got this morning. Note the bugs

Very nice.
Wish my car looked like yours.
Your Fuchs are 16x8s & 16x9s?
No issues with rubbing?
I'd love to change mine out for the wider ones like yours.

No, mine are 15x7 and 15x8. That's the trick.

15" wheels were an option on G50 cars. The other "unique" option my car came with was "sunroof delete".

Here's some P0rn of my garage right after I had it installed in 2006.

I've since added a washer/dryer (where those boxes of paper towels are). We upgraded the house W/D and I snagged the old one for the garage. Makes cleaning those matching towels much easier.

The cabinets are by Baldhead Cabinets (http://www.baldheadcabinets.com/), BTW. They are fantastic and the company is a joy to work with. Great people; highly recommended.

Someone is bound to ask: What is that indentation thing in the floor?

A: When I had the slab poured I planned on getting a BENDPACK lift and have it counter-sunk into the floor so that there'd be no bump.

After 8 years in the house I still have not pulled the trigger on getting the lift. And now (a) they no longer make the lift I had specified, and (b) I put the mounting point WAY too far forward for it to work well anyway. So when (not if) i do get a lift that counter-sink ditch is gonna be filled in. Oh well.

Holy smokes..beautiful garage and car. This is a good exercise-over the years, Porsche treated the underside differently. Seeing the inconsistent overspray/stone-gaurd application is something a concours judge looks for and duplicating it on a restoration takes a keen eye for detail.

Very nice. I like how the cabinets come out farther the higher you get.

Jack, your garage is no slouch either...talk about efficient use of space. I dig the old equipment, I make a living with woodworking equipment, some dating back to the 1870s, but most from 1910 - 1950.

I agree. Jack: I watched the vid of your garage in your sig and saw a bunch of REALLY great ideas. I'm going to steal the one of using a trailer hitch receiver under the workbench to make the vice portable!

How do you have it secured to the butcher block from below? Bolts through with big washers on top?? I'm concerned about downward leverage pulling the bolts through if not done right. I think i'll also want to countersink the bolts/washers on top so the surface is not disturbed.

Oh and your car is fantastic!
