Default Colors

I there a source of info that shows what colors were available by year on the 3.2 911's (1984-89)?

In my search for a G 50, I seem to mostly see red, black and while, with a few Diamong or Ven Blue's.

I really like the colors I hace seem in the 84-86 years, the burgundy's and bronze colors etc.

Any info would be appreciated.

Try www.paintscratch.com

They have a list of colors by year and model

http://color-online.glasurit.com/?language=8

Try this .. the formula finder will show every colour as these guys were the OE paint supplier to Porsche. of course this does not include paint to match.

..or dr.colorchip.com.

I just recently got a book titled Carrera 911 3.2: The last of the evolution by Tony Cortett (British author). The pictures are excellent and they have all the stats and colors by the year (for the Euro cars but was still very useful to me). In essence an in-depth look at 1984-1989 year model.

Thanks for the responses. These sites list numerous colours, but for some reason almost every G50 I see is red, white or black!

Thanks again for the info, I may have to buy that book.

Red white black and silver where the most popular - I waited for something a little different

I'm glad to see that someone else is interested in colors other than Silver, Black, Red, and White. (Most popular in order in the 1980s).

All of the above references are highly useful. Sometimes even the Porsche dealerships have archives of color charts to which you may reference.

Enjoy!
