Default Seine Gate Shifter on the track was AWESOME!! (plus pics)

I took the P-car to Streets Of Willow (CCW) yesterday and tested out my newly installed Seine Gate Shifter. The added precision the system provides is awesome. Going from 4th on the straight into 2nd onto the skidpad breaking zone felt great. That track is so much fun.

Plus on the Willow Springs Raceway next to us, they were having a Porsche event. Great day overall.

Anyway, a 915 transmissions plussed with a Seine Shifter in my experience is awesome.

Marlon

DUDE! Nice pics!

do you have the stock shift leather in place? how did the seine work with that? (or did you remove it) pics?

Ivangene: everything is still in place. Looks like a normal boot. My mechanic did have to work at it a little to get it not so tight. Not sure what he did though.

I looked at the kit and wondered how that would work with that bug thing sticking off to the side... looks like a great set up and much less than the wevo (though it is clearly a better looing set up in the "raw" form)

might get one of these one day - thanks for the post

I'll ask my mechanic what exactly he did to loosen up the boot. Because it was an issue at first where the shifting felt really tight. But he got in there and worked his magic.

I have one too, going on three years. It is a very effective bit of engineering, Sherwood did a good job on this. His website also has a nice DIY write-up on blue-printing a stock 915 shifter-worth reading and applying.

If only I'd installed it one year prior to when I did......but then I woudn't have gotten the chance to rip my motor open!

time keeps on ticking......

anyhow I dont weld, and I hate sheet metal so I made the spring mount today - its a copy from an early seine...now I just need a couple bolts and a spring, and a 10mmx100mm pin....oh and some energy to put it in.

for sure mine will be to bulky to not have a boot problem, not sure what I will do to overcome that.

pics of the progress
