Everything else is in Denver or south of Denver. I don't know anything about Gunbarrel Imports but they may be fine.

I had my '88's PPI done at Eisenbud's in Denver (40 minutes from Boulder) they are also the shop I use for that car.303.825.0322 John Eisenbud has had this shop a long time. Jim is a really good mechanic and just did a suspension refresh, alignment, corner balanced on the "88. NICE!
Also CarQuip in Boulder. Tom Conway another long time Porsche guy, very active in PCA, 356 events, has done some nice work on my '68 912. 303.443.1343
While Gun Barrel Motors is close, don't know much about them. Had a friend with an older Benz that wasn't happy with the work they did, and has gone else where.
Is the car in Boulder? Send me a PM or email if you have any other questions.

Thank you Rob and Dave for all your suggestions. A really super nice Carrera 3.2 ('86) has come to my attention and I am very close to having it PPI'ed. The best part of it is that it is one hour away from where I live in Washington.

Randy is who I use for my personal cars. In fact, he found my '68 911t for me.
Also, if you are looking for a Boulder area mechanic, I suspect you may be somewhat new to our region. If you don't already know about it, come out to Cars-N-Coffee. It's the first Saturday of every month that it doesn't snow, so it's tommorow. Details can be found here:

Oh, and about Gunbarrel? Their Porsche expert, a guy name Steve Ruddock, moved over to Carquip sometime last year. Steve's a long time P-car mechanic, as is Jim McCann, Carquip's other tech. They are both good guys.

+1 on Randy at Boulder Autowerks, he's a cool guy and honest. I wouldn't drive 30 minutes or an hour when Boulder has some good p-car mechs around. You won't be sorry with Randy, I would give him a call first....... he likes to chat!
