okay You Clay adicts settle down now .... I actualy use clay about once every 2 years on the car .. and start fresh with clay bar , polish , then wax .. once it slips and it falls on the floor it is instantly demoted to the wheels ..

PS Ian are you going to meet us for Breakfast at the Bob Evans in Hershey on Saturday ? 6:00am ? The rest of the Canadian contingent will be there with our allmighty dollar .. I think our American friends are finally converting their dollar to a coin this year .. we have the loonie . they have the ..er ..... Peso

If you still have a clean piece, try claying the windshield! The results will amaze you the next time you're driving in the rain. Much easier on the wiper blades. IMO..better than Rain-X.... You're cleaning the glass rather than putting some product on it. Best clay I found is from Griot's Garage.
Nice looking Euro Andy. Did I miss the other pics?

Nice job. It shows you how good that original paint really is if you can simply get the oxidized stuff off the top! The anodization is intact?

Hey Mussberger,

I can't get my pics to load! I got an AC problem. Could be the switch. Used the search but found no threads about switch. Can't remember how to start a thread! It's a tough morning can ya tell?

step one - drink coffee
step two - forum tools from the mail 911 page (not a thread) post a new thread
step three - manage attachments

Thanks, yes, anodization is stil good, except for the places where the dumb a$$ tire changer guy scratched both fronts. Arggg!
Was like that when I got the car.
Otherwise I would have had the pleasure of running the tire changer around his head a couple of times, LOL.

The black on the wheels is paint, not anodized. Clay might still work well on the black trim, though, as it does wonders on glass. Worth a shot.

BTW, the wheels look awesome.

Thanks,
Got them balanced yesterday, and they go back on tonight.
Off to Hershey tomorrow night, woo hoo!

There does seems to be a slight bit of confusion about what I did to what part, so perhaps I should clarify what I did.

Rubbing compound and a Dremel tool on the anodization (silver part)
Clay bar on the painted center (black part).

cheers :-)
