Default Still waiting to get her back

some of you may remember me telling my story of how my fresh air blower motor caught fire a few months ago. It has now been close to 4 months since they started working on her. I was suppose to get her back a couple of weeks ago but with the snow here on the east coast they told me they have had delays. Do most Porsche shops take so long to work. I swear there are cars at the shop that were there before mine and still sitting there. I guess I can be greatful that they kept it indoors the entire time since we have had more than 6 feet so snow total since I dropped it off. I'll send pics when I get her back.

How bad was the fire? If it's a large project, chances are it gets worked on a little at a time. Most indy shops will need to turn some smaller jobs to pay bills / payroll / etc...

This is one of those times you need to be patient within reason. I've heard of worse stories. You start pushing them and they rush it, there's a good chance they will cut corners.

Stop by, close to closing time with a case of beer, just to check up on their work and say "hi". It can only help things.

Just make sure not to drink all the beer on the way over. That could get ugly. Rusnak's always causin' trouble.

I have been really patient and will continue to do so. The weather sucks anyway and it has been nice having my garage for a few months, pluc it keeps me from tinkering with anything else.

These guys get backed up in the winter months (for those with rough weather) and it takes time. If you brought the car in August you would probably have it back in a few weeks....okay...maybe have it back in a few weeks.
