Default Option Y25 for 1978 911 SC...what is it

Can anyone help me to understand what is "Option Y25" as listed on the window sticker of a 1978 911 SC. The cost is $1,135, so I'm guessing it must be a group of options. Thanks!

I don't think they had Carbon trim in '78. Leather covering on those items, perhaps.

Yeah that's what I thought too but every search I did came up with the same options...dunno.

It can't be something simple such as "leather covering" for $1135 back in 1978. There's no option sticker for a 78 but it's right there on the original window sticker!

I had a similar dilemma on my '78SC. The window sticker had Option Package Y96 for about $1100. Ultimately I had to get some help from the factory, because I couldn't find anything here in the US. Y96 included
409 Sport Seats left and right
454 Cruise control
494 Two speakers on back shelf
565 Leather steering wheel 380 cm
590 Center console
650 Sunroof
Maybe your option group has some of these mixed in with some others. Look for options that are on the car that aren't specifically mentioned on the window sticker.

AlfaGTA...in getting help from the factory, did you call Porsche customer service @ 1-800-porsche? How long did it take until they got you the information?

Did you say Y25 or Y95? Read the title on this post.

List all the options and maybe we can narrow it down from the ones that we are familiar with.

What was LSD?

Mussberger...thanks, I got the options that coincide with Y25 (16" Fuchs, power antennae and right hand mirror)...courtesy of Richard Sloan! By the way...lsd = limited slip differential

What was LSD? I think the question Mussy is asking is what LSD you got? Is it the 40% or the 60%? Option code 220 is the better for street use 40% IIRC.
