Default 1979 911 SC Coupe

I am interested in this 1979 911 SC. It looks great and was well taken care of. These are a few of the things done to it, Brakes, tires, batt, tensioner, fuel pump, oil lines, turbo valve covers pop off. asking price is 14500.00 Car has 131000 miles on it.

Any thoughts on this.

Great cars and a lot of fun to drive/own if they've been maintained along the way. My recommendation would be to go to Amazon and order Peter Zimmermann's book. Lots of information you'll find helpful. Good luck.

Make sure you have a PPI performed by competent and honest personnel.

Sounds like closer to $12K would be a fair price.

Cool, someone from Selden.

Have the head studs been replaced?
LI humidity and road salt can weaken the studs.

How many miles on the clutch?

Depending on how nice this is, it's probably a fair starting point established by the seller. If he states FIRM, it is probably on the high side in this market and with the miles. Of course, it is impossible for anyone to judge via this forum, based on this info.

Even if you are mechanically inclined, you'd be best advised to heed the advice above on the PPI by someone who is knowledgable and has no dog in this hunt.

I grew up in Smithtown but took a few courses at SCCC in Selden.
