As many of you (older) Porsche owners know, we don't have cup holders. I'm using my 1988 targa as my daily driver. I can't live without my morning coffee. I need a cup holder option. Any suggestions??

I went simple and cheap. This cupholder holds two cups, which is handy if you also want to carry a bottle of water. I keep spare change in a drawstring bag, and weigh the cupholder down with that so that it won't tip over. Also, the low side fits under the seat to further secure it. Wash it in the sink, lasts forever.

I stopped at a Walmart on a trip to Mohave. I realized it was going to be a long trip and I wanted some coffee. I've had this thing for over ten years.

Hi Justice911: Pelican has a nice single cup holder that attaches (plugs into) your cig lighter receptacle. It costs 38.00 and looks pretty solid and stylish. I saw one last week and ordered it.

I've got a cupholder from my boat. It is a styrofoam holder integrated into a bean bag. Sets beautifully between the seats. Stick it on the floor behind the seats when you aren't using it. Slick.

I used a similar one in my 968 and loved it. It was adjustable and worked very well. I also bought it at walmart and I think it was about $10.

You can also use a roll of black duct tape - it site on the floor and doesn't slide around - when you don't need it - slide it under the seat. Works great.

My bottle of water fits nicely in the side door pocket.

The only approved cup holder is a roll of duct tape. You also don't have to explain to other 911 owners when they make fun of your wall-mart cupholder (and the tape comes in handy).

I recently got an '87 targa for the track and to keep some mileage off of my 997. I like the '87 much better but that's another story.

I came out of starbucks one morning and had no place to put my coffee. I looked around to see where I could set it down and I found a great place. I had to take a picture for a discussion that had gone on in the 997 forum about drinking coffee in a Porsche.
