Default Centre console (whats that behind)

As per title, 1987 911 at the back of the centre console looks like some sort of vent/fan, black and round with a grille - what is it?

Looks to be a large magnet in there?!?!??!?!?! that "assembly".....look for +/- polarity indications at the connection points.......maybe manufacturer's data?

Can you get a "front-on" shot of that casing ?(looks like a fan casing,..but I bet it's not) Take that thing OUT and autopsy....!

Best,

Doyle

Well I took it out, there were wires coming from it (one red one black) that were already cut and taped off and not leading anywhere.

It is some form of speaker in it, but also has a circuit board with chips etc!

Still none the wiser but guessing something to do with an old alarm. The only writing on it is a speaker inside on the dpeaker whith;

GAR. SERIATE - BG
COM.9200672/A Otobre 1992.

Puzzling! - still saved about half a kilo as the thing is damn heavy!!
