The 964 is slightly different than our 911s. The 964 forum might be more helpful, but here's an exploded diagram anyway of your 964 axle. It looks like you have to remove the axle nut and the hub should pull off? I dunno.....

Hold on, I'll get a picture of the wrench that I used to get my axle nut off. A regular 1/2" drive won't do it. I put the car on the ground with the parking brake set, and the center hub cap removed. I found I could stand on the wrench handle a little bit with all of my weight. That's a 3/4" socket.

Doug you make me feel so much better, honestly! I hate posting my height and weight. Makes me feel like such a lard ***.
btw...our produce stand got shot down, but we got the first approval needed for our pumpkin tent. It's going to be insane.

One of my cv boots tore to pieces and fell off. Only one of my CV's showed wear while the other three had pitting but did not look quite as bad as Iceman's inner joint did in his picture. I am going to replace all 4 joints.
The new Chinese Empi CV boots I bought have a spacer spot welded under the flange. This makes it rather thick and does not leave much thread sticking out. Unfortunately I do not know if this is normal because I threw away my old boots at work when I was cleaning. Can anybody tell me if this is normal or not?
