Default Compression numbers sound good?

Looking at a '88 Cab, they had a compression check done which showed 180 to 185 across all cylinders with leakage at 2% except #3/#4 which were 4% and 6%. How do these sound? Could the higher %'s on 3 and 4 be due to needing a valve adjust?

THANKS!!

Hope so! Been a long process. Nice 1988 Cab, 77k miles. Waiting on a PPI "lite" to be done by Matt on a car over in Washington, DC (1989 cab, 36k miles) and two other 1987 cabs, and then just have to do the mental anguish math to decide on which to pony up and pay for!

As much work as finding one is, it is as much or more mental gymnastics to stop looking and make a decision on the ones that are worth considering! The only thing the '88 does not have which I would like is a whale tail, guess I can always add one later...

NO! Yikes, would go broke. 3 pre-PPI's, one full which should be completed this weekend. Would love to post the ones I am looking at but fearful someone might see and swoop in and ****** it up!

If a tail is the only thing holding you back its a no brainer.

You will drive yourself crazy and be looking forever if you don't simply pull the trigger on one. Remember, once you have one in you garage, none of the others will matter. They all have the potential to run for years or have problems...... so pick the one that you simply can't stop thinking about or looking at and drive her home.
