Any tricks installing these seals on a coupe? I put one in and I'm pretty sure I made it more difficult than it needs to be. Because of the window frame I have to much of an angle to slide it in. Any ideas?

I'm not quite happy with the result after I replaced the left one. Since I couldn't slide it in, I pushed the seal in place. If I could take the cap off it would be a lot easier...I just thought I didn't have to take panels off to replace these bad boys. I'll probably take the left one off and put in again.

I am sure there is a way that you can slide yours in like I did mine. I just sprayed it with some silicon lube and it slid right in. You may ahve to lift out the window frame with the two screws in the back of the door and the two at the front.

Even if you have to take the door panel off it is about ten minutes work and gives you a chance to clean up everything.

What year did they do away with the metal cap-strip that the seal slides into? On my 70 and 72 coupes the metal strips snap out and you can slide the seal in and resnap the strip to the door. Do not cut the new seal shorter. When you slide it in it tends to stretch and appear too long it will creap shorter. You may have to hold one end and "bunch it up" to get the whole length in.

I think mine has tha but i didn't want to toch it as I could do it while leaving it all in place . I hate " snapping" anything on a 30 year old car .. things get brittle.

I haven't done the right hand side yet as I know there has to be a better way than the way I did the left. It's snowing here in Colorado so it's not like I can (would want) to take the car out. If I can unsnap the cap that may be the way to go. Can any of you guys with a Bentley manual look to see if they have any pictures.

I need to order a Bentley which BTW I found in Amazon new for $79
