here's my other.. a 96 GT w/vortech supercharger and other added goodies... i support all countries.. i also have an old 79 528i i take out on the rainy days
'95 993 Coupe - 45K, black
'81 911SC Coupe - 67K, light blue (hellblau) metallic, totally original
'71 Morgan Plus 8 - 83K, orange, FUN
'83 Saab 900 Turbo - 260,000 miles so far, original clutch and turbo, uses 1/4 quart of oil in 3,000 miles, red (my first car)
I commute in my lightly modified 1995 Integra GS-R. I just sold the last of my VW busses (I had 5 at one point). Still miss them, but they weren't viable commuters for the DC area!
1983 911 SC Euro (bought new by my Dad, now mine)
2000 Chevy Corvette convertible (Dad's new toy)
1998 Volvo V90 (mom's daily driver)
1992 Isuzu Trooper (my daily driver)
1993 Toyota Corolla (dad's "downtown" car)
My dad and I alternate whichever cars we feel like driving, minus my mom's so we get a nice variety to choose from.
This is a pathetic thread..... and here I thought I was in the market for a car which could do complete double duty as year round second car to the mini-van (and RX-7 racecar) but it seems that most people on rennlist either over-deify or don't trust their 911 to anything more than a 4th or 5th car!!! Maybe I'll stick with my trusty E28 (which eats 911's at track events anyways).
I also drive a
97 FORD Explorer - Given to me by work to drive
2001 Ford Mustang GT Coupe - I can't stand the car and am trying to sell it
My 76 S is down for 930 conversion. A few more months hopefuly
my daily driver -> '84 911 Carrera
my wife's daily driver -> '99 A4 (soon to be replaced with a '98-'99 A8)
our backup beater -> my parent's 3rd car, their mid-90's caravan (used only when our primary vehicles are at the shop for service, as neither of our "primaries" are anything but 100% relaible)
gee, skid, what a pleasant attitude. I am impressed that you make decisions based upon simplistic interpretation of the actions & assertions of complete strangers. I encourage you to stick with the E28.
while I'm at it, the daily drivers...
'87 Carrera Coupe w/ 90K mi.
'89 MB 300TE w/ 112K mi.
'83 528e w/ 200K mi.
My daily driver from new is a '94 Acura Integra GSR Coupe with 86xxx miles now. This is my second brand new vehicle. The first one was an '89 Nissan Hardbody pickup truck. I hated that truck, it was so slow and had no tach, and no power anything.
I love my Interga GSR and hope to keep it forever. It is very reliable so far and good gas mileage too. I was a ricer until I was introduced to Porsche in '97. Even though my Integra GSR is modified, it doesn't even feel as solid as my '78 911SC. I see a few Integra fans on here too. I think it is a great city/commute driving kind of car.
My daily driver is my 81 911SC although I ride my 98 Kawasaki ZX9R (141 hp!) in clear weather. ALthough since I am currently unemployed do I really had a daily driver?
My wife drives the beater 87 944S (140k)
We had a 92 MBZ 400E until my wife was rear ended on the freeway. Totaled the car <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[crying]" /> but the wife was fine. Can't beat MBZ safety!
