Cool

My '86 cab is my daily driver - What else? Of course, if you live in So. Cal, this is easy to do. When my porsche is in the shop I ride a 1996 Kawasaki ZX9R Ninja. It makes my porshe feel slow
(see postings for Car vs bike on Rennlist).

Until recently, my daily driver was a Ducati Monster 750. I sold that, a move I regret now, and, I assume, for some time into the future.

In bad weather, my parents' Navigator comes into the picture (living in the city makes it easy to swing by their place and borrow things).

My wife (and newly-licenced daughter) drive a '93 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which I drive when absolutely necessary.
My winter and short-haul vehicle is a '97 Integra coupe. It's stock despite my 15 year old son's ambitions (How about a cat-back, Dad? Can we lower it just a bit? New alloys would look great! etc. etc.)
The '82SC Targa gets out whenever I can manage it.

Incidentally, the Acura is kind of my "check-ride" and instructional vehicle; I believe great things should be shared by those near and dear, so my family members know that they, too, can drive the 911..........once they have learned to double-clutch in the Integra to my satisfaction, and have passed the "911 road test" with me in the passenger seat.

My daily driver is a black on black '96 Saab 900se turbo. Fun to drive for a hatch back. My wife has a Black '99 Saab 9-5 se. Nice to drive on trips and when tired (automatic). We didn't intend to have two black Saabs, but we got a great on the 9-5! My Ice Green Metallic '75 911s is in my garage sans engine/transmission while I get it ready for this Auto-x season!

Please to see that so many of us are as passionate about the "other rides" as we are about the 911s. I wish the commute-thing allowed me to use the 84 Carrera every day like the prior owner who racked-up 200,190 miles.

My "beater" for 5 years was a 83 944, Bought for $4000, driven 60,000 miles and sold for $3700, not bad at all...

Pleased to chat about lifestyle stuff and more pleased that I do not have to post a tech question, (Nothing is Broken....) Up-Fixen is another story...

-Jason
ex-68 912
ex-83 944
ex-75 914 2.0

and while I'm at it...
ex-74 2002tii
ex-74 Fiat Spider
ex-80 Audi 4000
ex-86 4000 Q-cs

when does it end?

with an 84 Carrera of course...
