Default 3.0 RS Clone...3 rd times a charm

Long story short....

My 3.0 RS clone is finaly complete. This is the 3rd time this car has been rebuilt. It started life as a 76 Turbo/ Murnerva Blue... Cover Of Excellence a few years back... It was R gruppe Car of the year in 2000 or 2001... The car was sold and wrecked soon after. Next a 77 Black Turbo tub was the donor. Rebuilt. Lastly I was wipped out in it on the way to the beach... Car pulled out in front of me. Done deal... 2 years later here it is.

Third time around 74 Carrera Chasis. Dropped in the seasoned 3.8 RS motor. ( 300 hp Varioram ) Gamroth Built sort geared 915. 930 Turbo Brakes, flares, original RSR 9's and 11's X 15's, RS interior. Total weight 2150. The car is a torque monstor and as fast as my GT 3.

Here are a few pictures. Say a little prayer for me. I am hoping this car is not cursed. The motor has been wrecked 4 times. Not ready for another..

I been looking for a new friend.........you'll do.
Ohhhh Sweet Mother of Mary!

I just placed the orange car as my background on the screen. Between that car and Jack Olsons black car I feel like polygamist.
Now if I can figure out how to split the wallpaper and have both cars on the screen, one for each eye, it will be like doin' twins......only better.

Everything but the chasis... Barrett sold it. Wrecked a week or two later. Then rebuilt on a Balck 77 Turbo Chasis... Then I bought , Wrecked it shortly after. Now it is Tangerine... Same drive train suspension etc...

I hope the thing is not cursed..

Like your hot rod by the way. I think I saw it at R gruppe a couple of years ago. Very nice.

Nice car. Instead of worrying about the past, I suggest you celebrate the present and have a christening. Pour a little wine on the bow, burn a little sage, have a little party with the guys who built her, and bless the car's future. Driver's Ed., or traffic safety course wouldn't hurt either, and might get you a reduction on your insurance.

The car is fine. Quite fine in fact. What you want to change is in your mind. Consider that this is not your old car, but a new chassis. Start referring to it as the 74 Carrera. That has a nice ring, doesn't it ?

Thanks for posting the pictures of your new Carrera. I love the toy shot.
