Your car looks stunning! Every other SC I've ever seen had exposed fog lights hanging under the bumper, which I dislike.

...but I still got Motronic!

Yes, Carrera's need Motronic with that extra weight of the 3.2.

I recently purchased an 81 SC. About seven years ago I bought my first 911, it was an 88 Targa, then three years ago I bought an 86 Turbo. In the mean time I've driven hand full of other Carreras. I've driven another SC but I don't have accurate memory of what it was like.

The thing I notice about my SC is how eagerly it revs. At first I figured it had a lightened flywheel installed, however, looking thru it's records I found where it had a trans rebuild 20k miles ago, there is no mention of a flywheel replacement, just a re-machined surface.

It's my understanding that SCs shorter stroke makes them more zingy compared to the Carreras. Throttle response is better than any Carrera I've driven, and certainly so compared to my Turbo. I've had to scale back on how much I press the gas pedal when blipping it on downshifts.

I agree that the SC does feel lighter than Carrera but the big difference to me is the throttle response. I wanted to point this out since I didn't see this mentioned in this thread.
