Same here. I'm sure driver height and seat type (and position) are factors, but I had to rotate my tach before I had the offset spacer.
On the track, it's also a great way to reinforce where the wheel position is -- sort of like the white stripe some wheels have, but you don't have to look. It becomes very automatic to know when you're on center.
