holy macaroni, that much? I know I don't want to look in my old receipts file.

Here's a closeup of the crest. It doesn't look glued on any more than you'd expect I guess. Those splotches are probably my dog's slobber. The leather is really premium grade.

I too like mine.

I glued my own emblem on and it came out fine....very easy to place it on correctly, and it does not look cheesy.

I have the offset spacer too and would rather it not be offset upwards. Where you say you have "the offset spacer" do you mean there is one you can get that is not?

Mounted this one about 18 months ago. Great improvement over stock wheel, especially for size large hands. About $500 with hub. Easy install. Added bonus - doesn't look after-market. See Automotion.com

Mine had it when I bought the car.

It is the one with the colored crest like in Olsen's pic and I love the feel of it, but it certainly blocks the gauges compared to the larger 4 spoke wheel I had in the 944 years ago.

That's where the offset spacer helps.

You can confirm, I believe I have the spacer. It has the bellow style rubber boot behind the wheel.

One of the pesky things I have never made the time to investigate is there is a slight rubbing sound during turns. It has never been a big issue, but something to check out. It is probably the rubber boot rubbing on something. I'll get to it during my spring clean up...

yours does not include the spacer, fyi. the spacer is aluminum, about 1/2" thick, between the hub and wheel.

I have the Porsche part, I believe I read somewhere that it was originally from a 968 Clubsport. I really like it. It replaced a Momo which came on the car and was comfortable but blocked the gauges.

Here's mine with the 'UP' offset. It was a wierd thing at first as the top of the wheel rotates lower in relation to the dash as youy turn it left or right. I'm getting used to it. My guess is for a car w/o power steering, it will give a slight increase in mechanical advantage in the turns.

I do like it because has a very nice feel to it and it spruces up the interior while keeping a Porsche wheel.

I evaluated these two variants side by side and compared them with closeup pics a few years ago - thread on Pelican.

The embossed version is generally higher quality and nicer than the one with the colored crest already on it. But the colored crest repro wheel has a darker black to the leather and if you like the additional bling of the color crest, it is already there.

Both are quite nice.
