Default a little winter Project.

When I got my COA from Porsche I was pretty dissapointed with it and threw it in a drawer over 2 years ago. I figured since i payed for it I may as well do something with it. so i spent $15.00 at wall-mart on a frame and here are the results. Not to bad I guess.

The small pics were taken at a rennlist "event" me and some rennlist buddies decided to do a detailing day where we learned what we could from each other. Our project car was a listers 993 that he had NEVER waxed. The day poured but after we had a great time. The 993 we worked on in the garage turned out fantastic, the picture does not do it justice.

Sadly the 993 was written off at the track about a month later, so this is my little tip of the hat to that car as well.

Very nice! Why were you disappointed by the cert? What were you expecting that it didn't provide? Where did you get it and what did it cost?

As you can see it is some font printed on a 8.5 by 11 piece of white paper. it cost nearly a hundred dollars US for that. In addiation i asked for it NOT to be laminated as I wanted it to be framed , and sure enough it showed up laminated.

Why was I dissapointed ... Well here is my COE for my 944 I got about 8 years ago .. VERY nice.

That 944 one is nice. This looks like a rip off. Is there another way for me to find out what options my car has? I think my 1981 Targa is fully loaded.

There should be an options sticker on the inside of your hood.

i can't remember when the option sticker strted . i thought it was about 83. But Matt is correct. if it has the sticker that is the only true way. I have even heard the COA can be incorrect.
it did however indicate correctly my LSD .. er , well .... the cars LSD .. it couldn't possiblyhave known about mine ..

Every year the COA's seem to get less and less value, with PCNA throwing in "Not Available" or "No Information" or whatever all too often. And the price is outrageous now.

Nice job on your frame, though. Bummer about the 993....reinforcement that you should only track what you can afford to lose or walk away from.

Yeah the thing is sitting in a yard right now ... has been there for some time. We find out this week if it is even worth rebuilding. It is going to have the frame checked out by a shop.
