Factory anodized finish on the rims is best. Blingy things have no place on a Porsche.

Sorry - but I think the black stock looking wheels (fuchs) blow chunks. I had stock 15 x 7 and 15 x 8's on my cabriolet and couldn't wait to change them out. You do realize that the BBS RS wheels were considered a wheel upgrade to the fuchs - they were typically wider and the like size BBS wheels are about a pound to a pound and 1/2 lighter.

Your car is gorgeous. Agree with all who said leave the Fuchs as-are (possibly wider), lower and remove bra. I think the poished petals (or RSR blasted) with black edges are beautiful.

I'm not a regular here, but I agree with most, in that the Fuchs are the wheels of choice.

However, I'm really keen to know where I can obtain that front valance from. (The bit below the bumper - I'm a brit, and I'm not up on US parlance)! As far as I know it's not a RUF valance because the original CTR had an integrated bumper/valance, to a different design.

That one is much more like the valance from the Turbo LE, where the bumper is a separate component. I'd buy one of those, but the valance for the Turbo LE, is geared up for the wider wheelarch flares of the turbo body.

As I say I'd love to buy something like that valance off the shelf, but I don't knwo what to call that specific shape, and you don't see it very often. If you can offer any guidance, I'd appreciate it very much.

That's an add-on Ruf-style valance. Most body companies offer it. Getty Design does, I beleive

Many thanks. I think I've been forwarded to them before, but although they have a variety of styles, including the IROC, I dont think I remember seeing that particular one, which frustratingly doesn't seem to have a name for reference purposes!

I know that some of the RUF's were conversions for customers who already had RUF's so perhaps RUF actually do an "add on" valance.

Anyhow, I didn't want to hijack the thread, so I'll thank you and sign off. If anyone has a really vivid idea (like perhaps a friend who has one loose in his shed, especially in the UK) don't hesitate to drop me a line!!!

I do think colour matched fuchs would look great on the OPs car but for some reason or another the colour match cookie cutters on my car have started to grow on me. Especially when you consider how much 15X6/7 cookies can be had these days.
