henry how did you polish up so well ? what was the process ?
yup, 3M Scotch Brite is a green 'scouring' pad type material that you can find in the pot scrubbing section of your local grocery store. Rustoleum Professional Stainless Steel 7519. It's freaking magical!!

Nice work, car looks great.

You deserve a little write-up somewhere for your efforts.
I took a year building my Bug motor, it does take time, but doesn't it feel good?

From what i have learned our engines usually need a full rebuild at around 200k to reseal the case and change the main bearings etc etc. If yours still runs great i wouldn't touch it. My engine leaked and burnt a lot of oil so it was definitely time.

hahaha. Yea it saved me a hell of a lot i fund all of my own projects so i have to save $ wherever i can and basically the only way is in labor because i refuse to put anything but OEM parts in her.

Thank you very much, it does feel great i was really nervous that it wouldn't come out right and it was a huge relief when she started right up and ran perfectly. I bet that bug of your moves right along.
