Default Fuch Values

I have been looking at pricing for 16x9/16x7 sets and have not seen many sets around. How rare are these and how much are they going for?

Get ready for sticker shock! I've been considering changing the stock 6's and 7's on my '84 Carrera to 7's and 8's, and have been looking around a bit. I'm amazed at what they sell for- 6's and 7's are fairly common, you can find a set for 500-700 bucks or thereabouts, from what I've seen. The 7's and 8's I've seen go for as much as 1200-1800 for a set, depending upon condition- apparently they are much more desireable, and not as common. Check the Pelican used 911 parts forum, they come up there fairly often- but- they sell very quickly, usually in the same day they're posted.

I don't think any car came from the factory with 16x7/9 Fuchs so that set should be really, really hard to find.
AFAIK
911 had 16x6/7/8
951 had 16x7/8
930 had 16x8/9

EDIT: I could be entirely wrong... are the fronts on 930 16x7 or 8?

There is no such thing as a Fuch. Sorry, one of my many pet peeves. The singular and plural are the same: Fuchs.

Oh, and I just sold a set of 9x16's on ebay for $1,400. They were sold within 2 hours of my posting the auction. I'll be selling my 7x16's the same way this weekend, unless somebody wants to make me an offer before that. They are recently refinished by Wheel Enhancement and are perfect.

Unless you're locked into 16's, you may want to consider these 17" repros that will be hitting 911 hubs quite soon. You're probably a wash in price compared to 7/9" Fuchs, and there are no unknowns with quality/strength, and you get the bump in tire choices for 17" wheels. I've read way too many posts about guys buying Fuchs on ebay and elsewhere only to find hairline cracking when they get them. Nothing lasts forever, and who's to document what kind of life a given wheel has seen?

If you think the 16" Fuchs are pricey, try pricing the 15 x 9 and 11 (73RSR size)

I think you will find way more tire sizes available in 17" rather than 16"

They aren't super rare.

About $2K for a set of used 7s and 9s.

As mentioned, not really rare, but really expensive. Heck, you might get some custom CCWs for the same money! Also expensive are regular 8's and 951 8's. Happy shopping

....or Jeff's new 17" wheels. Rumour has it that there will be a one time group buy.

16x9 is rare and is very expensive, maybe $14k a set . Since you are special, I'll let mine go for $1,700. let me know if you are interested.
Some 930 have 16x8, some have 16x9. So maybe the 9 was the option?
