Why less $$ for early 90's cars?

I know nothing about the car or the dealer - but it looks nice.
Says silver, but looks more like Linen Metallic to me.
It's been around for a long time, perhaps due to the asking price.

Unabashed hijack:
Edward - "1982 911SC Track Meister-in-Progress". I am on the same road with my '80. Curious if ours are the same color. Mine is "Heliosblau". Yours?
Back on topic: "Above the Crease Racing" has adopted the 964. Manny (first 964 of the three), Pete, and Tim all raced at the club race at VIR a couple of weeks back. Great looking cars (to me). Tim's is a C4 conveted to C2. Apparently there is some advantage. Pics attached. White and Black car is a friend's - not part of "ATCR".

I get my spare parts off of the 964s people throw away .
When ever I see one plateless on the side of the road ,
I strip it clean . But of course most of the parts are broken/not working ...

Heliosblau is lighter I think. IIRC, mine is Pacific Blue. Very nice pics, BTW!

I think the 964's (1990-1994) are great bargains. They seemed to be priced at $18K-$25K in the southeast. The lower range car has a few small issues while the higher range is a solid car (call it a #2+).
A 993 (1995-1998) is almost twice as much in my area.
So, I'd agree that the 964 is a good bargain in this market place.

993's in the 55K/75K-mile range seem to be deflating pretty rapidly, compared to 4-6 mos. ago. Some falling into upper 964 territory. Lots of good examples hitting the market, many sold to free up some cash.
