Default Weird stalling

Last night, I arrived at tennis and just as I pulled into a parking spot, the car stalled out. I tried to restart it immediately, and it turned over fine, but would not catch.

After tennis, I went to start it and it started fine. Went to a bar for a drink and when I left it started fine. Then this morning, I took it out and it stareted fine, but after parkeing it at a store for an hour and a half, I started it up fine and then drove a few meters to a traffic light and it stalled. I tried to start it and it turned over but wouldn't catch. I then tried again a minute later and it started fine.

I drove it for a minute, and as I was driving it, I could tell it was not running on its own but only turning over because the car was in motion, then before it rolled to a stop, the engine caught again and I managed to get it back home.

Would a shot DME relay have these on again/off again symptoms?

Hey Pete. It's a 1986 3.2 engine.

Go with the relay....30 or so bucks and you can always use the other as a spare if it is something else.

I actually have a new relay sitting in my glove box so i will put it in just to see if that solves the problem, but I was just curious if anyone had experienced similar symptoms to me where replacing the relay solved the issue.

Justinsrx7---------- In one of Peter Zimmerman's twines he mentioned Timex vs Rolex as the trend of the P guys. Your next story might start with going to Walmart or to borrow a tool or shoot hoops or pool rather than tennis which has a country club image. == pun intended

Your car is knock out, Is it a turbo of the wide body?

LOL, it does sound a bit pretentious doesn't it. Things aren't always what they seem though.

As for the car, it is turbo in look only.

I tried the DME relay but the problem is still there. Would a fuel pump work intermitently? Any other ideas?

It can, apparently a wack or two with a hammer on it can help it temporarily.
