Default picture request: 911 Cab with rollbar

hey guys, looking for pics of 911 or 964 cabs with roll bars and tops down and up.

with and without padding welcome. GT3 or aftermarket Bucketsor race seats or stockers also welcome, just trying to get an idea of what i'm looking at for my 930 cab.... but it seems i cannot find any good pics of 930 cabs let alone with roll bars!

also who makes the bar and where did you get it.
I've seen the Dassport bar on the ground but never on a car.

Thanks in advance!
Mitch

I'm guessing that he meant STOCK rollbars.

As I recall on the early 911 cabs Porsche welded in attachment points for someone to add the stock roll bar to the car at a future date, if so inclined.

Mine's a bolt in bolt out DAS bar i got from CDOC. The harnesses are no longer used with stock seats - I now use stock seat belts - although I did read where I could use my stock seat belts over the harnesses and still be compliant.

This was my 964 C4 with a Kirk Racing (www.kirkracing.com) rollbar.

I had cutom speaker mounts creating a false floor, so you can't see the feet mounting to the floor itself in this shot.

and an action shot

what are the differences between the Kirk Racing and DAS Sport bars if any?

both are PCA/SCCA/NASA compliant for Solo1, Solo2, and Track days/DE events right?

any word on legality for use at the strip?
i know they wont be good enough for under 12 or 11 sec which is the ET restriction for requiring a cage of some sort i think...

My main concern is being able to actually get out and track this thing for DE's and Track days plus the odd Solo1 or 2 would be fun too!

That's what I use mine for - 4-5 track days a year - odd autocross. I take it out when not in use and the kids can occupy the back seats.

As far as I can tell both are PCA legal, but check your region rules to be sure. Both bars mont similarly, the Kirk uses 4 bolts through the floor for each front foot and then mounts to all four rear-seat seat belt bolt and the DAS uses the two outboard seat belt bolts (probably not a big deal though). When I got mine the DAS was about $800 and the Kirk bar was about $400.

so there is an extra bar across the back/bottom of the kirk bar where it mounts to the rear seatbelt points or how do they do it?

what is the finished quality of both bars? i'm sorta leaning towards the DAS Sport now that i hear aout the extra mounting points for the Kirk bar, i'd have to completely redo the sub box i have where the rear seats used to be where as it's a slight modification with the DAS sport bar by the looks of it...

any dealers in the PNW for DAS Sport products??

anyone have some good pics of the both bars including mounting points??

Thanks!

yep an extra bar running across the bottom that rest on the ceter hump and has four tabs cming off it that have hols in them for the bolts that go into the seat belt mount locations. FWIW, I thought the construction quality was very good on the bar and I thought the extra lower bar added strength since it was resting on the center tunnel and in a roll over would put some of the weight onto the tunnel and not straight into the seat belt bolts or into the front legs which are mounted to the floor pan.
