I couldn't quite grasp all of that, although I did mention AK47's in my last thread.

Most of the money in Dubai is reportedly coming from the Black Markets in India. It's one of the only ways Indian Mafia have to re-invest semi-locally outside of their own local jurisdiction. You better believe that it's not Dubai's own money that is going in to create what it has become.

As mentioned: most of the Oil money is invested in other long term assets. It's only first world brokers with everyone elses money to play with that jump on short term stocks and shares.............or in this case, commoditiies and the like.

The Arab world is a very real case of 10% of the population having 90+% of the wealth. The rest of the people are struggling to put bread in their families mouths.

It's the truth. I'm here!

Did I miss something......it's late here............and I'm going home tomorrow!

[QUOTE=Peter Zimmermann;5611703]Oh, yeah! Punching tanks is one thing, but in Bakersfield it's gotten to crisis proportion for the local farmers. They all have huge diesel tanks on their property, and the thieves have figured out that it's an easy buck. The losses have been recently estimated at about $250,000, and some farmers have actually installed infrared equipment with motion detectors, etc. Too bad they don't set up AK-47s to strafe the area when somebody violates the perimeter beam!

that is soooooooo unamerican .......

wouldn't they be armalite M4's ?

I can never understand why every American forum doesn't have a 'Gun Talk' area, maybe just under the for sale/wanted section?

Nerds! it's one thing to call me a nerd but it's when you cross the line into friggin that I am offended. By the way...what is stroppy? Is that a term I can use the next time I'm in D.C.?

I'll never forget when my Scout Master took us out to the desert to shoot his AK47. That was a lesson on "Be Prepared"...

stroppy = upset, angry, bad mood

I wasn't calling you a nerd, just the people who get upset when threads go off topic.

Scout Master? Sorry I take that back, NERD!

that Scout Master was later convicted of child molestation and is on the "Megan's Law" website. How's that for off topic.

Of course he was, isn't it rare to find a Scout Master that hasn't dabbled in child molestation, they're the 911Rs of the Scout Master world (bringing it back to Porsches...).

Pete, I was gonna try out the new limit at the pump today. I took the Chevy astro to the Chevron down on the corner and put in the Visa check card, put in my zip and expected it to stop at $75.00...Nope, it went right on past it, It got to $92.00 and shut off. 21 gallons isn't yet at the $100 mark. The Ford would have hit the $100 mark long before the tank was full.

I don't think he was actually later convicted, but years later showed up on the site and we were left to wunder what happened.
