Glad to hear your problems were solved without a drop. As for the fluid change, well do you know what kind of tranny fluid is in there now? Is it the recommended swepco?

Good job. That is what this board is all about. Now go drive it around. You can strip for us some other time.

I am almost pistive that the prior owner said he put in Swepco a few weeks before I bought the car. You never know though, sometimes it is better to start off fresh with your own service history. Perhaps Ill do it another weekend...for now I just want to drive it.

Dont I know it. I am going to do a search, but if anyone has a real simple way of getting the Swepco into the hole...I am all ears.

This is what I do for a G50: Get a clean length of garden hose, put it into the hole. The other end comes out the wheel well, slap a funnel on it and start pouring away. Make sure you have a drip pan underneath, when it starts overfilling....you're full! If you're good you can actually retrieve what is left in the garden hose and but it back into the bottle.

I think there are also some methods that use a small squeeze pump.

Found my answer...get a pump or use gravity with a long tube.
