Thanks.

$180,000 plus the dealer markup. They all sold very quickly here in the US, and there were stories of up to $50k over sticker paid for these cars.
I got the opportunity to ride in one as an instructor at an autocross a couple months back. The car had only 700 miles on the odometer, but the owner had put Hoosiers on it and was running it *really* hard at the autocross. The car would literally leap from corner to corner. The throttle response when the car is "on the pipe" is incredible. He could hang the tail out at will with just a prod of the gas pedal.
By far the most impressive things was the brakes, though. The binders are big, and with the Hoosiers and ABS, it was like the hand of God was yanking backwards on the car at every turn.
With a couple small tips (clam your hands on the steering wheel, look ahead, use the brakes HARDER) he was able to crush the top time of day (several other 996 TTs there) during fun runs after the timed runs.
That car is worth the money.

The ones at Auto Gallery down here in So Cal all have a $250,000 price tag on them and that is NON-NEGOTIABLE from what I understand.
later,
amir (even at 1/4 million IMHO it's still worth it)

I just left an angry VM for a dealer that is advertising a 996 TT as a gt2 on e-bay. Don't know who he is trying to pull the wool over on, but he has it listed for a "buy it now" of 110k.
It's not just in the listing description, but also in the text of the ad. Don't know if the salesperson is an idiot or just trying to mislead people. Putting it in the listing to catch searchers is one thing, but trying to pass it off as a GT2 is pure fraud. Maybe if others leave him the same message he will pull it off before someone is taken!

Yesterday (Monday) and today I spent driving DE at Watkins Glen. And a GT2 was running too. It was not in my run group but was on the track with other cars throughout the day. Sure looked good on the front straight.

I friend of mine bought one last month. I havent had a chance to ride in the car after it was broken in, but the car is incrediible. I could not stop starring at the size of the brakes, they were huge. Cant wait till its broken in, hope he lets me drive it. He said he got a good, paying close to $220. If I had 220 K to spend on car, i would scrap up another 50 K and buy a 959.
