Default Changing Fuel Filter and Accumulator ...Interval?

Thoughts on what the change interval should be? Time? Miles?

For reference, my SC is a 97% track car, so not much mileage, lots of sitting, but does get scheduled street exercise when not tracked flogged. Thanks!

I would do the fuel filter every three years or 7500 miles, whichever is first. The accumulator is actually considered a lifetime part, like the WUR and Fuel Distributor - if the original has been replaced on your car you are good to go!

7500 miles? Dang...that's about every 6 months at the rate I am going.

Also, I have heard that it can vary depending on what type of stations you fill up at and what kind of roads or environment you drive in. Have you seen evidence to support this or have had any experience with this? these days I am filling up at smaller gas stations and there is a lot more dust on the roads.

LOL! No, no, no - that's a special recommendation for a track car. You, on the other hand, are best to stay with 15K miles for fuel filter replacement. I know that Porsche says, for various cars, that 30K is OK, but we never did that at my shop.

Wow. OK, Pete, if You say so, I'll do it. But may I ask why 6 months? That seems brief.
Oh, and thanks for the info on the accum ...that's *definitely* nice to know

I've read that the fuel filter should be changed every 2 years, but I would tend to agree with Peter Z on doing it every 3 years. Two years seems a little optimistic given the size of the filter.
