Default Wimp in hot weather

It's been hot as heck here with temps around 100 degrees so I put the Targa in hibernation for the time being.

Now this weekend I spotted 4 air-cooled 911's withing a few miles from my house.

Red SC with matching red Fuchs
Red Carrera Targa with gold BBS rims
Black Targa - wide body turbo - a real one !!
White Carrera coupe.

All of them were driving with 260 A/C.

I just don't like sticking to the seats

Wear a body condom, lol. Sorry inappropriate. I feel like no matter how hot it is, if the top is down it gets pretty chilly.

Oshin,

100 degrees here today...she's only being thrashed about the country roads in the early, early AM (NLT 7 AM),..and then, for about a full hour...first 15 minutes are spent watching for deer...............

Good environment to test your system's ability to keep her cool......darting out at 2 PM...MAN, IT"S HOT OUTSIDE!!!!!!!!!

I'll bet July will be a killer this year...

Best,

Doyle

It's 95 and muggy here today, and I am out in the cab Why buy a convertible if you are going to park it? I can deal with the heat better than most I suppose. Funny thing is, my car seems to run stronger/smoother the hotter it is outside. Weird huh?

Must I go over the rules of a Targa again?

1) Wear sunscreen.
2) Always have the top off.
3) If warm, drive faster.
4) If cold, turn heat on.
5) If raining, drive faster to avoid getting wet.
6) If being chases by police, drive faster.
7) If there are hot women nearby....slow down.
8) Never 'hibernate' your targa!

Coupe here...refuse to run my ac...windows down and wide open throttle. Passed a couple earlier today enjoying their cab. Got to strech my baby's legs today while it was 93 degrees here. As long as you are not sitting in traffic there is always enough air movement to be had at speed.

I've lived in LA most my life, pretty brutal when it comes to summers and 100+ temps. I guess I have gotten spoiled by the last 5 years here in Santa Barbara.....75-80 all day everyday Well minus the 10 days of rain per year.

Took out the Targa last night when the temps dropped to 90, much better when the sun is down in a car with a black interior.

The black leather seats heat up real quick in the sun.

Had her out on Saturday to go for a swim, then back home. No to bad........

Parked in shade with cloth top on and foil shade for windshield. She don't like to restart in heat and starter eventually hit that "Dead" spot.

But I Parked Faced down hill and she had no choice. Back home no problem.

Was wearing one of those no sweat shirts and shorts.

Im not driving this car with a suit on in the summer. Look like Rodney Dangerfield after a mid summer all nighter of partying! Too nasty.
