Wow, what a great find! I would absolutely love to have a 71 911T, so I'll admit that I'm pretty envious. Does the car still run? I think I already know the answer to this one, but how do the floorboards look? Can you get any pics of the underside?

It's not worth more than scrap value.
You'll never get your money out of the restoration cost.
I'll have it taken away for free.

Seriously IMO these cars are the next 356's

What's it worth? 5k

It would probably cost 45k to have done in Jersey. Probably 35k in California

20k drive train
15k chassis
10k interior and all the other bits and pieces

It's not running. I'll take some pictures of the floorboards later today. It looks rusty to me. I'm wondering if it's worth the money to restore or just sell it to someone for parts or to restore. I'd hate to see this car be parted out though.

Anyone know a good restoration shop to get estimate on restorations in Southern California. Near Pasadena, California.

Anything that looks that rusty on top will probably be a complete mess underneath. Of course it can be repaired with enough time and money but not worth it for a T.

Yeah, right now there is enough supply of better condition long hood 911s that it's likely not worth it in an absolute financial sense to restore (if you're paying for the labor). Now if there is some emotional or sentimental connection to this car, that's different. Or if you're doing the work and you like to do it, that's different.

Here's a "feel good" restoration story posted here not too long ago. Lots of blood and sweat (and dollars) went into this DIY restoration. The poster gives a very nice itemization of his costs.

Got a 2.7 in there? Note 5 blade fan + Bosch distributor of the 2.4/2.7 era. THAT could be a can of worms in and of itself, and maybe why it was parked in the first place? And those are Webers on it? (Honestly, it's been so many years that I've seen Zenith carbs in person, I'm not sure I could tell the difference from those pics.)

run Forrest, run!

seriously, a 911T I restored in the mid 90's was just sold (by the guy who bought it from me) for $8k. It has a couple rust bubbles on the doors....

Those carbs are definitely Webers. As an owner of a 1970 911T that needs help (although a lot more solid than this one) I can honestly say that restoring these old cars has to be a labor of love, not a financial decision. I do all of the work myself, so a project like this would not bother me, but I can't imagine trying tp pay for a restoration.

Do the work yourself or sell the car to somebody who wants to do the work. Don't part it out. The engine is interesting, however....If running right, this car may go like stink!
