Default Targa Roof

Just purchased an 87 Targa and want to recover the targa top. Can anyone recommend a company that has experience recovering targa roofs.

Where are you located? There is a local shop here in Campbell that does a good job of recovering for about $700. You also may have a local upholstery shop near you that can do it. I've heard good things about this place:
http://www.carsinc-nj.com/targa.html . There is an older gentleman that is reputed to do excellent work but I don't have his contact info here at work. I'll post it after I get home.

+1 on Dan at CarsInc. you can even do a swap if you need a top right away. He is the guy for our Targas

If you need the 2 manuals, PM me your e-mail address and I will send them to you

+1. That is Dan Petchel's company, and they are located in New Jersey. Personally, I'd go with him as he has a great reputation on this board...

I got my 78 targa roof back from Dan last week it was perfect and worth the money. Guess I won't need his services again for 30 years.

Dave Brown in Boulder, CO (303.499.0110) also does an excellent job and has loaners available. Had mine redone 2 years ago. Still extremely pleased with the results. Went with the Rough grain and had to provide measurements at the top mounting points--was local so not an issue. With a new headliner and foam, made a big difference.

I have also simply replaced the top covering with one of the kits available thru Pelican or others sources a number of years ago. Easy to do and an inexpensive fix.
