Pics of my SC - the only sunny day in Scotland this year!
astonishingly, the sun came out yesterday and it didn't rain! which is a minor miracle for Scotland.
Decided to take the girlfriend for a drive to St Andrews beach. Took a few pics on a pals camera which came out really nice. made me realise my digi camera is obviously made of cheese and needs upgrading.
First dry day (an a weekend) that I've had this year to take the car out for a spin. What a buzz!

Scotland's roads are the best. I went on vacation there last year and had a 77 911s to use. Wrote about for 911&PW.
There are a few goad mountain roads in CO but they suck so much power when you are 9k feet. Oh well.
I will get back to soctland just to drive again.

It could only be better if one porsche lover could spare some time to take another for a run down some of those famous twisting, turning roads.
I was actually having just that fantasy earlier today when I posted, until I just couldn't stand it anymore, and made up my mind that Scotland's roads are probably all cracked, broken up, full of potholes etc. That is, where they aren't cobblestone.
And who has time to drive a Porsche over such terrain, anyway, when you're eating haggis and quoting Robbie Burns all the time?!
Seriously, I delightfully envious. The car's a beaut', and to have good roads to drive it on... and with scenery like that....
If this snow would just melt here, I could get out and into the mountains. This is just killing me!

Thanks very much for the compliments chaps! very much appreciated.
One of the things I was looking forward to when I moved up from England was the driving to be had in Scotland. Some of the roads here are just fantastic. the problem is the weather makes it so difficult to get out and enjoy them.
flatsixnut - The kites were attached to some slightly odd looking 3 wheel recumbent-style buggies. they were zipping around at a fair old pace and it looked dangerous enough to be very enticing! I'll be looking into that methinks There was also a guy in a land-based windsurfur type rig. (in the photo below)
Brent - After years and years of using other peoples car photos as my desktop backgrounds I'm genuinely honored to think that someone is now using a shot of my car. It kinda feels like I've hit some big motoring milestone
JV911 - these were taken just above the dunes on St Andrews beach, just a little south of Dundee on the East coast. Its a nice place and well worth a visit if you're passing by.
Steve - My photoshop skills are directly comparable to my knitting skills... and sometimes I struggle to tie my own shoelaces.
all the best, and cheers again for the compliments

Hey, depending on just how locked in that weather gets, maybe it's a kind of a blessing, if it causes you to always experience a special feeling, like when as a kid, you took your bicycle out in spring, after it was put away all winter.
Nice sunny day befalls Scotland, out comes the car...Ohhh, I'm gettin' that "I can't stand it" feeling again.
We've had a faux spring here. I had the car out twice...that seems like ages ago now.
Thanks for permission to use your photos. I'm downloading!
