+1 for Loren B. of systemsc. When my DME failed and fried everything in my car, Loren did an excellent job rebuilding it AND gave me a long warranty on it. I think a new DME is 2000.00+ USD but Loren rebuilds and updates a DME for almost a quarter of that price. Good guy, and even better electrical engineer.

I wouldn't send that a$$ (Loren) anything, or pay him any amount of money for his services. This is where Karma comes to roost. His "holier than thou", "know-it-all" attitude, and utter disdain for anyone on here or Pelican does not warrant or earn him any business, IMO. Screw him. He is NOT a good guy.
I'd contact Steve Wong, and see if he has any recommendations. If there isn't anyone else, buy a used one.

Yea I know a lot of people don't like him but amid all the Loren bashing I just wanted to let him know that there have been people (like myself) that HAVE had good experiences with him.

Oshin, it's not Loren bashing. The jerk brings it on himself with the venom that he spews while constantly insulting everyone's intelligence. For a "life form" that has a lot of potential customers on these forums, you'd think that even a moron would figure out that it's better to bite his tongue than constantly lash out at everyone. This is my chance to hopefully deter someone from putting any money in the ***' pockets.
