Maybe I should sell my car...
Yep, I am not sure this is right...
I have had my 1983 cabriolet, a now 25 yo car, for about a year and a half now. So the other night, I ran down to Office Depot to get some ink cartridges refilled. I walk out of the store about 7 pm and the sun has just set, but not dark out yet. My car is parked out maybe 100 yards from me with absolutely nothing parked around it. In fact, there may have been only one other car in the lot in this area.
As korny as this sounds, I had stop a minute and just gaze at her (the car of course). 25 years old and still can take a guys breath away. That is why I always wanted one I guess. I hope this does not sound pretentious or whatever, but I just wanted to share. I am sure many of you have done the same thing, maybe even more than once. I really did just stop and stare though... As cliche as it can be, it really is a timeless design. Thanks for letting me blab on...
OK, I have answered my own question... it is definitely right!

Anyway I had a girlfriend once tell me " why is it you can never walk away from your car without looking back ? but when you walk away from me you never do ? " DAMN .. she right ... it's just so good lookin ..

Its a good thing i always look back because sometimes i leave the lights on I get angry at new car manufacturers for putting out such bland cars when they have the ability to make them so much nicer and the public in genral for buying them. And they dont buy them for their looks anymore like the old days. They buy them for there warranty and gas milege. I guess what it comes down to is that i feel extremely privelaged that i have the most beautiful car in the lot 99% of the time

At $15,000 to $20,000, it is hard to think of another car that is as beautiful to look at, challenging and rewarding to drive, and "different" from just about everything else out there in terms of design, form and function. You never forget that you are driving a true machine when you have a 911.

I changed my mind after posting it, initially. But okay. Here it is again.
I know the feeling of looking back -- and then catching yourself looking back again a few steps later. The 911 is a hell of a good design, even when the owner has taken some liberties with it.
The picture was taken earlier today, after an afternoon drive around Los Angeles.
