What a Car
What a car. I had not driven a sports car in 15+ years and had never driven a Porsche until I bought this one a few months ago. I found a deserted cloverleaf and did 3 or 4 laps until I could make the curves fast enough to make myself dizzy. Another fairly empty section of highway in site so I ran it up a little. A 26 year old car with 189k on the odometer and it’s rock solid at 100. WOW. Now I understand.

Reminds me of the comercial where the guys are driving the Subby or Mitzy around and around the cloverleaf. Wish we had one around here. Glad you are enjoying your "new" ride.

The first time I did the cloverleaf GP indicated a need for a neck brace. I found that duct taping the head to the right shoulder helps address the neck strain. Unfortunately it made signing the ticket and subsequent handcuffing a bit awkward....

Drifting
Cloverleafs are fun, especialy when I had some dude driving an Escalade with 3 tons of chrome only a few inches from my rear bumper and not realizing how fast I am going until he hears his rims grinding on the outer curb
This is the fourth time it has happened to someone following me too closely on the exit cloverleaf....
Enjoy the ride and drive safe

Batman 357, we have no idea what you're talking about. We just drive to the grocery store and back. The only reason why the classic 911 is a good car is because you don't lose money on the resale - that's it! But, if I were to have fun, I might make a map such as the one pictured below, and I might try to push the limits when nobody was around and nobody was looking.

batman,
This is my first sports car. My 79 camaro really does not qualify. I have a 74 targa with a 3.0 and its my first porsche. I have a narrow body so I have to behave somewhat.
New suspension, and lots of other parts make this car rock solid and a blast to drive.
I don't know all my specs, don't know my 0-60, but I know how much fun I am having and enjoying every mile!
I hear you.

Bargamon,
What a trip down memory lane -- my first was pretty much the same car: a 76 Firebird. 4 cars later, my daily drive is a 93 Integra. Not sports cars. Pretensions of ...sportishness, at most.
But my 911 Buwah-hahh-hah-hahhhhhhhhh!
Batman,
Congrats to you upon the occasion of joining us.

:+1, glad to hear about the new ride. But take it to the track and REALLY let it open up. You will be even more amazed and then you will REALLY get it.
