I came across such a rare car that I had to mention it. It was a Honda 600
coupe in lime green being driven in the snow! I think it's only the second
600 I've seen here in Ohio since I was a teenager in the 70's!! The guy didn't
seem to care or know that Ohio uses more salt per mile than any other
state. Thanks!

My favorite "rare" car is the FIAT 126p. I say "rare" because you might not ever see one, but it was mass-produced in Poland, so definitely not rare in absolute terms.

I was invited to a track day for customers of a local company. The owner brought the F40 (driven to the track by his lead tech!) along with a slew of rare cars. He had drivers for his cars and there were giving rides to everyone all day long. It was also a green/blue/red group track day (mostly Ferraris) and I was helping instruct (I really just wanted to see the F40!). So, I got to drive some nice 996 Porsches and a Ferrari F355.

Here's a list of what I remember, keeping in mind these were the cars people were willing to beat on. You should see the others in their collections!

Ferrari
F40
F430 F1 Spyder (2)
F360 Challenge Stradale F1 (race car)
F575 Maranello
F355
348
308

Porsche
Ruf Rt12 (218mph, 0-62 in 3.3sec)
Ruf RGT RS
964 Ruf turbo
Ruf R turbo (2)
993 GT3 Cup Car race car

DSmith;

You're a lucky dude! Most people won't get close to that many in a lifetime
and you do it in an afternoon.

Spotted another: Merkur Scorpio leaning to the right and making it's way
through the Ohio snow.

Thanks!

Mark
