Rennsport--TULSA, OKLAHOMA???
I am talking to a 911 owner that had some serious left rear damage repair by these folks. Does anyone know of them or have any knowledge of their work? I can read between the lines of a soft reply.

I used to know the owners years ago and they put out a pretty good product. You might ask Tom Charlesworth at 1-918-664-8714, or tcharleswo@aol.com. He has a shop in Tulsa and is the PCA National Technical Committee Chairman. Also call Bob Miller, 1-918-369-0453 or rmillerpca@aol.com. He's the past president of PCA. Maybe they know the current owners and can give you an honest assessment.

I'm in Oklahoma City and have purchased parts from them in the past and received good knowledgeable advice from them when I was building up my 914 as an SCCA CSP AX car. They have a good reputation. Bryan is an active member of the Cimarron Region PCA and is a true Porsche enthusiast.
As spider911 suggests, you could call Tom Charlesworth and ask his opinion of them (even though they are "competitors"). What ever Tom says, you can count on. He would be THE choice for having a PPI performed for you.
I'd also suggest just calling them and asking them directly about the work they did on the car in question.
Feel free to PM me and let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

---------"jakeflyer, what city do you live in?"--------------
We have a farm 30 miles east of Dallas (south of Redline raceway), and are in So. Cal. about 5 months in the winter. This car is in Ca. and a pre-buy is not a problem. Too bad it is not in Dallas and I could go to the MAN, Ed Mayo, or Zimms who is also gifted.
I will call the boys in Tulsa and talk to them and I appreciate the input. Nice rides both of you have.

+1 for Rennsport
-1 for Tom Charlesworth (unless you're talking about a 944!)
I live in Tulsa and have had experience with both. The Rennsport guys are great and I've never heard anything bad about them from many, many people I know that have utilized them.

The guys at Rennsport are first rate. I'm in Dallas but family is there and have lived there briefly a couple of times and used their services. I've never heard a bad thing about them. VERY thorough. For body work Jeff Huber is also in Tulsa and has an outstanding reputation, and not just for Porsche work.
