I better change my name to Mein 11 because...
I bought my first 911!!!
I haven't been this excited about a car since the night before I bought my first car 20 years ago!!
Its a 71 coupe, done up in RS trim, and pretty extensively lightened. The motor is a 2.4L carbed motor with E cams.
I'll use it for autox, DE, and general tooling around.
Drove it home about 125 miles in the pouring rain yesterday. Loved it so much I wanted to sleep in it last night!

I am on Porsche #4, started with a 73 911T, went to a 74 911, later to a 89SC Weissach Coupe, and 2 years ago Santa brought a 1997 Carrera Coupe.
I have felt similar to you on all four (4) cars. Yesterday, I added 993RS side skirts to the 97 car. I went out to the garage last night at 10:00 PM just to look again...damn they are beautiful.
I think the 911E was the best of the early 911 cars, light weight, excellent acceleration, a real gem. Good luck with the car. <img src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" border="0" alt="[bigbye]" />

M 14,
CONGRATS! I can appreciate your enthusiasm - I've tried to explain to people that driving a P is THE most fun I've had with my clothes on! I've had acquaintances comment that they've seen me driving by with this huge sh-t-eating grin on my face...man, these cars are a RUSH! Since you're in the Philly area, you have access to a great PCA chapter - Riesentoter. Would suggest you check it out (www.rtr-pca.org). Hope to see you at an upcoming DE event (currently we're trying to find a new autox location). HAve fun!!

Mein14...or is it Mein11??
Congrats on getting the pics up and for acquiring such a beauty! Man oh man, I LOVE yellow 911s. I hope to pickup a '97 Turbo-look Carrera S someday, in yellow, of course.
Again, congrats. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Mein 14,
So, I remember that in March that you posted an inquiry into people's experiences with PAR Porsche.
Did you wind up getting that beautiful car there?
If so, what was your experience?
If not, then what was your experience with them?
Congratulations and best of luck with your new baby!
