My '81 SC PCA Club Race car was ordered new without sunroof. Whether or not it was a "delete" option then I do not know... I can safely say that of the large number of SC/Carrera coupes that my shop maintained, only a few had no sunroof, but, although this might have been typical in Los Angeles, it might not have been in other areas.

Sunroof delete was a no-cost option through the 996 model run (2004). It became a mandatory option with the 997 (only GT3 RS and GT2 models come without) ![Frown](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)

Sunroof delete is preferable. Particularly if the car may be headed for the track, where it should be, at least occassionally. The deletes are moving to a premium in the secondary market.

My USA version of the 911S was available with a sunroof but I couldn't afford it,--so someone today gets to drive a 77 S without a sunroof! (9117201923--cockney brown)
