Cool Today was the first day of good weather since I picked up my 911 (picture time):

After a long drive around town, topless, of course ($1 to vet). I'm not a photographer, but I hope you enjoy.

Thanks, folks. As I was driving back to the ATL from New Jersey, I called my dad and told him that it's the best money I ever spent on myself. I can't wait to learn more about working on the car from this board, and I hope to find some other Atlanta p-car folks that I can learn from too.

When you were up in Jersey did you get a chance to talk to Gene?

Looks a bit like mine... but much nicer! Just picked mine up a month ago. Best money ever spent!

You must be in the north burbs (alpharetta?). A friend of mine told me he saw "mine" at douglas rd... I'm betting it was yours. Can't be that many around that look exactly like that.

BobS~ I never met Gene at Autohaus, although I spoke to him, as he did the original PPI on the car for another buyer. Even though I hadn't paid him, he was kind enough to give me his thoughts on the car. To be doubly safe, I had another PPI done at Powertech. I thought both shops lived up to their good reputations.

Steen~ Actually, I'm in East Cobb (120 & Johnson Ferry area); so, it wouldn't have been mine. I would love to get some Atlanta folks together for car projects. My car doesn't need much, but I've considered changing the tranny oil, doing a heat blower delete, maybe a valve adjustment some day, etc. If you or some other p-car folks you know have any interest, please let me know. I have a good friend with an '86 cab who is pretty handy. Unfortunately, he sold his rental house that had a lift. I was just checking the Peachstate PCA web site and was bummed to see that they are requiring a roll bar to run Road Atlanta in January.

Luck, must be another one on this side of the burbs. My first P... I've been, and still am, a Landcruiser guy, so I know very little about P's right now. Would love to get together on some projects.

Your interior is what mine hopes to be some day... very sharp. All of mine needs replacing at some point... black now but will probably convert to tan.

Not surprised the PCA requires a rollbar. not sure I'd want to run flat out without it myself, but guess I'm getting old maybe?

PM me some time and we can get a beer.

WOO HOO! It's fantastic. The colors are great. I was always envious of my friend's BMW Z3 with that same color combination. It's really, really nice.

And, I am proud to know that I helped corrupt you into driving around town topless.

Congrats! That interior looks amazing. It is the same color combination as mine, but you door panels look mint!

You really got a fantasic car. The north east knows how to keep cars. and the rest of us know how to take them away. Thank you for letting all of us play along.

This is a total side note ..... I got my car in january '07. By march my wife was telling me she was going to loose weight. (18 years of marrage and she has gotten pregnant 9 times and is raising 6 kids) Not anything new, I've been told this before and she has never lost pound one. After 20 pounds it was cool, after 30 pounds it was really starting to show, after 40 pounds I was really glad I had been fixed. She is at 49 pounds lost and yesterday shows up outside in her wedding dress while I'm playing with the car. Now, I'm thinking she is jealous of the car. I'm thinking I should have got the car a long time ago. And no, I didn't get to take her out of the dress....remember the 6 kids, well.
