Lightbulb S. Fla Porsche rental the 26th?

Brought the family to the beach for the holidays and am hoping to find a fun car to drive a few hours the 26th while the rest of our clan shops.

Might be able to trade a small plane ride at Pompano airport that morning or I don't mind paying a couple hundred.

South Fla as in Miami area? I ask because I am in Sarasota with my family for the same reason and some consider this South Fla. but it is a long way from Miami.

Too bad there aren't any roads worthy of a Porsche in South Florida.

Thanks Jerry, but $895/day for a GT3 should be be spent on curvey roads instead of wasted on the straights of S. Fla. I was thinking about half that much and really only have the one afternoon.

After flying over the town I'll try to rent a Saturn Sky and maybe go test drive something exotic at a dealer.

Merry Christmas! Will post a pic if anything interesting happens that is Porsche related.

Yeah, the problem with renting an "exotic car" is the exotic prices. Merry Christmas to you as well.

Rented a Pontiac G6 V6 and test drove a Cayman S.

$42 Well spent instead of driving up in my minivan...

What did you think of the Cayman S? I have driven them on the road, AX and track and I love them.

The '06 Cayman S was a great drive! Reminds me of my '77 with a softer ride, less initial understeer, and more soundproofing. Didn't find the limits but very much enjoyed the drive.
