I bought the whole system and did the clay bar then followed by the sealer/polish rather than the wax system. That is the best my car has ever looked and the easiest to do. I wish I would have bought everything Griots years ago. It gets my recommendation!

I would want the Griots video before my first polish.

Thanks Pete - it's tougher getting that sort of reflection with a silverish car... That was with meguirs liquid wax (caranuba). It took me less than an hour with the whole car.

Jeremy: So I have this right... You use Meguiar's liquid (I assume the stuff in the red/burgundy squeeze bottle) with a Porter Cable orbital and a Griot's red pad?

I've had the Griots Pneumatic Orbital for three years and love it. Much, much lighter than the electric one and the air hose is no more intrusive than the power cord.

Thumbs up Griot's Garage

Yes, it's true the Griot's Garage products are a little more expensive, but it's great for the beginning detailer like myself. You almost can't screw up, it's so easy, and the results are fantastic. Using the paint cleaning clay before polishing and waxing, will transform the feel of your paint dramatically. Smooth as a baby's butt.

I had never clayed a car before. It was quite relaxing actually. I had horrible visions of clay sticking to the paint or coming apart like play-doh. I plan on claying all my cars come spring and using the Griots sealer system on all my cars since the results were better on the 911 than having a pro come do the car.
