So the Fuchs have black centers and are not polished? I like them better than the polished ones.

I actually think I like the ones on the cab better. I do love fuchs and often don't like aftermarket stuff, but those look really good.

Hey... either way, it's a 911!

I like cabs more and that black one is very sweet, fuches will look better IMO.

I remember that one now, the $100 ticket is the way to go. forget the targa that cab is stunning. I'd take both sets of wheels if the fuchs are 15's. Forget what I say, you obviously know what you are doing. If the interior is half as nice as the picture and the underside of the care isn't too bad you have a real gem on your hands. Good job.

(by chance both cars were in Florida- Jet Blue made it possible to see both cheap!) And now you come up here and steal one of our nice cars? Ha!

Anyway, I have no affiliation with the Stable, but will say they are a top notch organization- they always have clean cars there, and have been in business for many many years. If they gave you a description of the car and it was verified by others, I seriously doubt you will be disappointed. I took a look at the car you're buying on their website- looks like a beautiful example!! Classic coupe with whaletail! Looks all stock which is a big plus- good luck with her!

Are you sure the Fuchs are 15's If they are original to the car I think they would be 16's. If they really are 15's I;d check with wheel enhancement on getting some nice new 16's I don;t think you are going to like the look of your cab with the 15's on there. Just my 2 cents..

Doug and Luus: The Fuchs are 6 & 8/16's, which Pete Z told me was a great combo -- I wouldn't know --- yet. I think those wheels look good, but I would rather stick with the classic look for now and save that $2,000 for upgrades (just wait until I start posting for advice on those!). The guy who did the PPI said the underside of the car was remarkably clean --- looked like it had never seen a day of snow/salt. I'm fired up to go get the car right now.
I hope the weather cooperates and 12/15 is a particularly dry day.

Sounds like you have found two good cars. Good luck with the weather....I'm sure hope it's better than it is here today!

BTW, I am sending you a PM.

That cab looks like a keeper for sure! I would recommend making sure the windshield washer system works and get new wipers (often overlooked/dry rot etc on garaged vehicles) in case the weather isn't cooperating. Good luck!

Doug, that's it - I've had it! I'm gonna send some snow to you down there, along with 3 truckloads of road salt and a tanker full of the brine solution they use as well....that'll teach you to mess with the Karma Gods....

Sheesh, Californians!

dave

ps. as a sidenote to keep my post on-topic, I'll 1+ the advice to check the washer system - my Ohio car was only rarely driven even in rain, and the washer nozzles needed replacing. It'll be no fun to find out the hard way.

pps. Oh, and make sure you post pics of your adventure drive home!

Thanks for the windshield washer/blade advice x 2. I wouldn't have thought of that. Good idea on the pictures as well. I'll be sure to bring the digital camera.

Quick question: When he takes his fancy Fiske wheels of the car and puts the Fuchs back on, am I going to need to get the car re-aligned?

Oh dear mother of Ferry, of course you are...It's going to be at least a $2,000 hit. NOT! It won't change the geometry at all, just the look. I am so jelious of you right now. This has been the best time I could ever ask for just sitting back and seeing you find the car of my dreams.
